Getting A Show

Interested in having your own radio show? You have come to the right place! If you are not already a volunteer, please be sure to also fill out the volunteer application as well!

One of the main ideas behind community radio is that the airwaves should be freely available to people from the community so that they can educate and entertain anyone within earshot.

At CJMP FM, we wholeheartedly embrace this idea. We want the airwaves to be buzzing from dawn to dusk (and well beyond) with the sound of the Upper Sunshine Coast talking to itself, playing the tunes it loves, finding its own voice and sending it our for all to hear.

If you have ever thought about getting on the radio, this is your chance. We are here to help get local talent on air, and to support them to create the best possible programming. Please take a look at the following show application. Fill it out. Hit send!

If a weekly commitment is too much, then consider a show every two weeks or get a buddy and split the show between you: one week you, one week them. There are many ways to think about it. Be creative! There are programs coming down the road that will require individual segments, research and reporters, so if this interests you, keep in touch and let us know. You may also pre-record your program or parts of it.
